Rag Doll Making Workshops

11th April and 25th April: 10am till 3pm

 Rag doll

As part of the Mission Focus Month in April for Aquaid Lifeline, two days have been set up to make dolls for the nursery children at Namisu Children's Village. The aim is for each preschool child to have a doll. We will be making them out of hard wearing but washable fabrics, filled with a soft polyester filling. Each doll will be different and will be culturally appropriate with either a dress and knickers or trousers and a top.

People of all levels of skill are invited to join us as there will be different tasks to do, from cutting out, stuffing, sewing (machine and hand) and dressing. So all are welcome! You may also want to sponsor a doll to help with costs and further details will be available at the sessions.

Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be available. Please bring your own lunch or feel free to order lunch from Cara Coffee.

You are welcome to attend just on one or both days. If possible please contact the Church office to book in (for catering and set up purposes), but dropping in is also welcome - we will do our best to accommodate everyone.

For more information, please chat with Carole Johnson at church or contact the church office on 01223 842181, email: administrator@shelfordfreechurch.org.uk
