 Food Bank Donation Point for John Huntingdon Charity

As a church, we support John Huntingdon's Charity by donating items for their food bank (Click here to find out about the charity). Our collection point is in the lobby area of our Ashen Green Entrance and can be accessed during office hours (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 8:30am till 1:30pm). If the door is locked during these times - please ring the doorbell. 

For ideas of what to donate, please take a look at the chart below and just put what you can into the box. Remember it's TINS, CARTONS, PACKETS, JARS of food that have a long life and can be stored at room temperature that are needed. FOODS THAT NEED NO OR VERY LITTLE PREPARATION AND COOKING ARE ESPECIALLY USEFUL.
 
PROTEIN FOODS  TINNED FRUIT AND VEG DRY GOODS
Meat pies in tins Peas, carrots, potatoes  Tea, coffee, sugar
Meatballs in tins Sweetcorn Dried pasta
Minced meat in tins Tomatoes Rice
Corned beef/ham in tins Soups Jars of cook-in sauce
Hot dog sausages in tins Any fruit in syrup or juice Breakfast cereals
Tinned pasta dishes e.g.
macaroni cheese
UHT fruit and vegetables juices in cartons Well packaged cakes with long shelf life
Tinned fish e.g. tuna, salmon DESSERTS Biscuits
All types of cooked beans, lentils, chickpeas Custard, rice puddings, sponge puddings Packet sauces e.g. cheese, casserole sauces
Baked beans with sausages Packet desserts Jam, marmalade, honey
Also veggie sausages UHT milk in cartons Cocoa, drinking chocolate
  Non perishable microwaveable products are especially welcome
