What is the Gospel? On the day of Pentecost Peter addresses the crowd that had gathered and explains who Jesus is, what happened to Him, why this matters, and how we should respond. In this study we take a look at Peter’s message from Acts 2 v 22 - 47.

How can I witness effectively? The early disciples were waiting for the Holy Spirit and in this study we look at what happened when the Holy Spirit came and how we can be effective witnesses for Christ, from Acts 2 v 1-21.

Who or what is an apostle? Some – but not all – of Jesus’ disciples were called apostles, but what made them different? Do we have apostles in the Church today? These questions, and more, are answered in this study of Acts 1 v 12-26.

What does Jesus want me to do? Luke not only wrote a Gospel, he also wrote a second book in the New Testament called ‘The Acts’ which is about what happened after Jesus had ascended into heaven. In this first study we look at the instructions that were given to the apostles at the time of the ascension. In future studies we will work through the Book of Acts systematically, learning as we go.

Where can I find Jesus in the Old Testament? Luke tells us that when Jesus met the disciples on the Road to Emmaus he showed them from all the scriptures the things about Himself. Their scriptures were what we now call the Old Testament, so can we find something in every book of the Old Testament that points to Jesus? This session is a one-off special which goes through every book in order and highlights at least one passage or theme in each of them that points to Jesus.

After His crucifixion, burial, and Resurrection Luke gives us more evidence that Jesus is alive and tells us about how He left the earth and what He wants His followers to do until He returns. This session is based on Luke chapter 24 v 33-53 and is the final part of our series looking at Luke’s Gospel - but you don’t need to have watched all preceding videos.

How can I find certainty? Luke wrote his Gospel to give us certainty and in this passage we meet two disciples at a very uncertain and confusing time. Luke shows us how Jesus helps them to understand His death and resurrection and shows us through this how e can be certain about these things.
