Mission... |
GSFC has a World Wide Mission team who meet regularly for prayer and planning. Our aim is three fold:
a) To promote Worldwide mission within the church in order to encourage people within the church to think about Christians working in other places/roles. To do this we will keep the church informed about how God is working throughout the world, especially through the people and mission organisations we support as a church.
b)To support those who are serving God in worldwide mission through financial support, prayer support, and direct contact (letters, e-mails etc.)
c) To make known opportunities for serving God in worldwide mission-short or long term-and to encourage those who feel called by God to serve in this way, supporting them and helping them through the process of discerning God's will and place for them. |
We also seek to reach out to our local community through various events, including playing an active role in the Shelford Feast in July. (The pictures below and right are from The Feast, and show the Great Shelford Free Church stall and climbing wall, and the GSFC team running the Chariot Race event.) |

Ministry... |
| We believe we are all called to serve God by ministering to others in many different ways, using the unique skills and gifts that God has given us. There are many areas of ministry or service within the Church, such as as pastoral care, prayer, working with children & young people, preaching, stewarding, looking after the finances or fabric, to name but a few! |
