Who we are...
We are a group of committed Christians who meet regularly to worship
God and to share in community activities. The church
has been in existence for over 150 years and is associated with the
Baptist Union of churches. Our Sunday morning service is attended
by about 150 people of all ages and backgrounds. We come mainly
from surrounding villages but everyone is welcome – whoever you are,
however far you come!
we believe...
- in one God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- that Jesus, God's Son and our Saviour, is Lord.
- that the Bible is inspired by God, wholly reliable and relevant to us all.
- that the Lordship of Jesus is revealed in the Bible, which is God's Word.
- that all have sinned and fallen short of God's ideal.
- that Jesus died for all of us.
- that those who believe in Jesus will be forgiven.
- that Christ rose from the dead, defeating death, and lives forever.
- that all who believe in Jesus Christ are called to be baptised.
- that all who follow Christ are called to serve the Lord.
- that all who follow Jesus are called to serve Him in the community.
- As Christians, we are to bear witness to the love of Jesus Christ.
Jesus said – Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength, and your neighbour as yourself.
He also told us to go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them all He has commanded us.

C ommunity Focused – to seek to make a positive and unique contribution
to our community
E ngaging in Worship & prayer – to put God first and recognise that
without Him we can do nothing
In other words GRACE is to be at the heart of our life together.
OUR VISION: A Light in our Community and beyond
We seek to be a place where all including the hurting, the depressed, the frustrated and the confused can find love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance and encouragement.
We seek to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with our local
community and the world around us as we are led by the Holy Spirit
and in accordance with Christ's "Great Commission."
We welcome members into the fellowship of our Church family - loving,
learning, laughing, weeping with those who weep and living in harmony
together.
We seek to develop people to spiritual maturity through Bible studies,
small groups, seminars, retreats, and worship.
We seek to equip every believer for ministry by helping them discover
the Gifts and Talents God has given them.
We want to send believers out into the community, and indeed the
world, as missionaries and Church workers and empower our members
for a personal life of mission.
We believe this Vision will become reality, as it has been inspired by God and we seek its fulfilment through our Prayers and Obedience to the Great Commission and Great Commandment of Jesus. |
